Default A7 VS A6

Hello! I know that they are basically the same car just with different design. What I need to know is how will one depreciate against each other. I can buy an A6 around 14-15k (c7) and and a7 around 19-20k euros,2012 both. But I wonder if the depreciation is the same on both or one has it worse than the other?

The styling of the A7 is unique, so that would probably cause it to remain ahead of the common styled A6 in resale value.

That's why I was considering getting an A7, same costs as an A6, but was thinking of better resale value in 3 years than an A6. Like even if you pay 15k and U get 10 back, is not like by the time a6 is 10, a7 will be 13, there will still be a price gap between those two , so i Was thinking I am getting a good deal by aiming for a good 20k a7.

According to KBB the A6 holds its value better than the A7 on a percentage basis.

When I bought my 2012 the A6 was cheaper for the same package and miles. I believe around $3-$5k less.

My experience as well. Real world prices.

Purchased the A7 because it is a hatchback and offers enough space to haul a mountain bike.

A7 is wider than the A6 and has better or heavier steering feel and smoother ride with the 20s. I know that because I have 2014 A6 3.0TDI and a 2016 Audi A7 3.0T. There is a noticeable difference as to how they drive. I prefer the A7 feel and looks anyday.
