A7 vs all other "A" models
I have to say, I was originally in the market for an A7, but after a trip to Europe, the A7 really grew on me. Needless to say, I bought a 2012 A7 prestige in white this past December, after looking at ordering a '13 A6. (The dealer wouldn't move much on the price is the A6, but the A7 I got for an incredible steal. With that being said...
I've noticed that all other A models are seeming to look all too similar. The A7 really stands out. I'm extremely pleased with my choice.

A6 exterior - Way too vanilla, IMHO.
While I was enjoying my leased 2010 Q5, I was also anticipating the launch of the C7 A6 for when my lease ends in Dec 12. Alas it finally arrived. However I was kinda disappointed at how much it resembles an A4, at a glance.
Took one look at an A7 and the whole family were sold! And ever since, have been getting positive comments from everyone else. Even fellow motorists at gas stations, mall parking lots to pedestrians at crosswalks giving smiles and thump-ups!

I could not agree more, the A7 was not even on my radar, and the back of it was something I didnt like. After a while the car really grew on me, I was looking to get a Porsche, but ended up buying the A7 and could not be happier, literally the first car that puts a smile on my face from driving it... great feeling

The lack of differences, real or perceived, between current A4/A6/A8 design seems to be topical these days. This recent article in Car and Driver talks about Audi's future design plans to address this...

"Audi has recently come under considerable, perhaps exaggerated, criticism for the visual similarities between its different model lines. When speaking with Egger at the New York auto show, he assured Car and Driver that the time of 'scalable design' is over."
