Default Another New Audi A7 owner

Did alot of research and test drives on everything possible but kept coming back to the Audi A7. Fine machine and the driving experience has exceeded my expectations. Just wanted to announce the new arrival to the neighborhood.

Test Drives included:
Cadillac XTS
Infiniti M37
Lexus ES, GS, LS
Jaguar XF Supercharged
Mercedes E350

The Jag was very tempting, but rear legroom was an issue. Gotta take care of the back seat drivers also. Overall Audi fit and finish heads above others, some had higher HP, but comfort just not there and the technology was overwhelming with all touch screen apps. Touch screens wear out fast.

Why not the CLS550 that is the most similar and the A7 with a tune is faster.

Congrats and welcome.

Of the cars you listed, only the Jaguar XF is usually considered a typical cross shop. More direct comparisons include the BMW GC & GT, Mercedes CLS, Porsche Panamera, etc.

Post some pics when you can.

Thanks to all, to answer feralc question on the CL550 took a look but same build as the A7 came to about $10K higher and didn't offer the brushed aluminum trim pkg. Wife insisted no more wood gloss veneers and she has no love for the BMW group. Happy wife Happy Life! Read reviews on the Porsche Panamera great car but the overall body style of the A7 just had more pizazz!
