Default Audi A7 3.0 TDI V6 204ps Fuel Filter Location

Hi all,

I am hoping to complete a full service having already done the oil and oil filter, air filter and pollen filter.

My car is a 2011 3.0 TDI V6 204ps.

The last thing left is the fuel filter change but I cannot find a video on YouTube showing me the location, nor proper instructions for a UK right hand drive model.

There are instructions here but it's confusing.

Does anyone have more clearer instructions, pictures, advice, etc.?

Also to complete the full service to a standard as "high" as that from an Audi dealership is there anything else I should check / carry out?

Thank you!

A DIYer.

A common location is under the front passenger (RHD Cars) footwell. There are some plastic covers which need to be dropped down to gain access.

It may be possible to prime the system after fitting the new filter by turning the ignition on then off a few times. Mine is the BiTdi and the fuel system may be different but I am sure the pump pressurises the system either as the car is unlocked, drivers' door is opened or when the ignition is first turned on.

DO NOT attempt to start it until you are sure it has fully primed. You risk any small particles from the filter change process getting into the injectors.

For the Audi A7 UK spec, right hand drive, 3.0l V6 TDi diesel, the fuel filter is located under the floor where the feet of the driver are. Access requires removing 2 under floor trim pieces as detailed above. Tool to remove hoses would have saved 5 minutes but a large flat bladed screwdriver worked. Easy job generally. Most awkward bit was putting back the larger underfloor trim piece. Easy job. Raised right had side of car with two hydraulic jacks (then axle stands) for easy access. Impossible job without raising the car. Best of luck......
