Default Audi A7 is Reliable?

Recent report below regarding 2013 model year predicted reliability-

Volkswagen AG's luxury Audi brand made the biggest strides in this year's survey, climbing 18 spots to No. 8. It was the best-performing European brand. Glitch-free new models like the A7 sedan got high marks from Jake Fisher, Consumer Reports' director of automotive testing.

"They're out-BMWing BMW, easily, in terms of the driving dynamics," he said.

I know some people have had electrical problems and some other quibbles, but i currently have 24000 miles on my a7 and it's been extremely reliable, the only issues i've had is the driver's door chrome strip was a hair wobbly and the rear tonneau cover i lost a cap which wasn't sold separately so i had to buy an entire parts kit for 75. other than that it's been great.

"Glitch-free new models like the A7 sedan"

Uhhh... I had both electical and mechanical issues that req'd numerous trips to the dealer--I'm not bitter though.

Prior to 2000 miles, I had to have the passenger seat airbag sensor replaced and they replaced the MMI due to the Navigation system freezing. No other issues to report, and I hope it stays that way. My BMW has had significantly more issues, but so far, unlike Audi service, they treat me like a valued owner and the service experience is just plain better.

Are you saying that BMW or Audi had better service.

Through 6 months and 11,000 miles my A7 has been bullet proof......literally my only issue has been a faulty wiper blade...;8^)

Not in my experience, either. It has taken at least trips and counting just to get my TPMS to stop warning me every 25 miles! This is my 5th and last BMW!
