Hi - Did you manage to get your Google maps issue sorted?

I have just picked up my A7 and I too am having having difficulty getting Google maps to work - The option is always greyed out. I have connected with Sim card and Bluetooth (using my Blackberry and SAP connection) I can get Google location searches to work but not Google maps so I would be interested to know if you resolved.

Hi - in a word no (well not yet). Been at the dealer for a week as having tried to apply 10 software updates taking (they said) 30 minutes each still not resolved so have ordered a new Nav head unit which is on back order from the factory so may take another week. Don't mind too much as they have given me a new Q7 as a courtesy car to run around in so putting the miles on that! Will update when finally get sorted - interesting that was not a one-off problem as was beginning to think as nobody had replied.

Go to the Audi website and click on Owners. Then click on Technology Tutorials. Click on A6. All of the A6 and A7 info is there! Check them out

Thanks for the tip - obviously a lot more info available on the US site than here in the UK. Other than the Google maps problem that is currently being looked at I think I have worked out most things but good to have the reference material.

Thanks - I have sent an email to local dealer and will wit to see what they come back with. I too have figured most things out but I am stuck with

1) Google maps not working
2) Album art not showing on Jukebox
3) Audi Connect not uploading addresses.

It does seem strange that there is not an ask an expert email facility for Audi UK. I look forward to hearing that you have Google maps working though and then I will be into my dealer!

Ok so got my car back and Google maps is fixed but it needed a new infotainment ECU fitting as various faults found that no amount of software updates could fix. Not sure if this is a fault due to mine being an early car registered Jan 2011?

I also reported intermittent problem of MMI restarting when playing CD or listening to Radio etc and they are still waiting for a software update from Audi to fix that. As a temporary fix they have disconnected my digital radio aerial until the software update is available which seems strange but appears to work as have had no repeat of the problem so far.

Just an update to say that I have had the long awaited DAB Radio software update applied and have had no repeat of the original problem of my MMI system restarting when listening to audio.
