Default Conti or Michelin A3+ and tire size

I know this has been best to death but asking again. Amazon has Conti AWS for $202 for the 275/35/20. The Michelin are $235 everywhere. I had smaller Contis on my A7 that were pretty good but love the Michelin that are on my truck and my wife is pushing for the Michelin. I read that the Michelin ride is a little harder? They both have road noise depending on surface?

Also, how is the ride with the larger 275 vs 265?

In 2015, I was given a set of 275/35-20s Conti DW extreme summer tires. I have sets of stock 19 and 20 OEM wheels. I was amazed how well the DWs rode, how quiet and the amazing handling. For the years I used them, I found no complaints with 275s. And they have a fractionally taller sidewall then 265s. I loved them on warm and hot days. They were like riding on a rail. But never harsh along as they were above 45-50.

IMHO, the tire makes more difference than size. Before the DWs, the 20s had 265/35 Pirelli P zeros - the worst riding and handing tire I have seen in decades. I hated every day on them.

Just moved to Conti DWS06 275-75s. For late spring and summer. The ride and handling is still impeccable. Have no fear about 275s. Our cars handle them. Just choose well.

Thank you. It's really down to the AWS06 or A3+.

I got my Michelin 19” at Costco. Best deal by far at the time. But these replaced the OEM Pirelli so anything would’ve been an improvement.

I had to out new tires on my truck before winter and got my Michelin at Costco as well. Should have got my Audi tires at the same time with the dealt why had. I was hoping they would have something for spring but no such luck. So far $235 is the best price which isn't that terrible. Thanks

I have had the AS 3+ on my S7 for almost 2 years now and they are fantastic for an all season tire. Much better ride than the OEM Conti that came on the car and a lot better in the rain.

Great, what I wanted to hear. Just purchased the AS 3+ and having them mounted today or tomorrow. Thank you.

German or French? Which markets their tires the best. Let us know what you decide.

The official 20" tire size for the A7 is 265/35/20. By going to a 275/35/20 your speedometer and odometer will be off. When your speedometer reads 70 mph with the new tires, your vehicle will actually be traveling at 70.61 mph, which is 0.86% faster than the original tires. See https://www.sizemytires.com/calculators/compare

My tire guy recommended the Conti AWS over the Michelin. I previously had the Pirelli P-Zero and wanted an all season.

Yep, replacing the 2765's with the 275 for 2 reasons. 1. Price is better. 2. slightly higher sidewall for MD potholes.

It seems like they are both exceptional tire that I see both responses. I purchased the Michelin and will post what I think about them. I had slightly smaller Conti AWS on last summer and did like them. Though, I did have some tire noise depending on road surface.

Thank you for your response.
