Default DIY Cabin Air Dust Filter

Anyone do this themselves? I searched online, and couldn't find any directions, not even sure where it is.

I just had my 35k service, but the Audi tech suggested I hold off on swapping it out to save $$$ due to their cost of labor. Anyway, I've done this before on other cars, figure it shouldn't be hard.

The Pollen filter for the A6/A7 C7 model is located behind the passenger side glove box.

You get to it from underneath the trim below the glovebox.

The following is a link to the online parts catalogue. AUDI A7 SPORTBACK [A7] (EUROPE) 2013: BODY: 82020. AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH; ELECTRONIC REGULATION

Item 24 is the cabin/pollen filter.

Unscrew item 9 (3x finger bolts)
Remove Item 8 (it should just fall away once the plastic bolts are removed)
Unclip Item 23 (the cover to the filter box)
Pull out Item 2, the charcoal filter.

BTW, the OEM filter part number is 4H0819439

You may have to do most of this on your back, looking up behind the dash ;-)

Good Luck!

Good info!

Please note, the filter element is actually Item 24, not Item 2.

Good video. When I checked my filter, I tried to turn the hook with some pliers. It was hard to see in the dark with bi-focals.

I also learned that the filter doesn't come straight out. It bends a little while removing and inserting.
