What are you trying to do?

The grill is one piece with a removable section where the front plate is mounted in the A7. From looking at pictures of A7 grills on eBay, there appears to be six tabs on the top and bottom and four circular posts on each side which could fit in holes or screws could thread into.

None of the auctions grills have the center filler piece that I think you want to change. From the looks of the grills, the filler piece has tabs the hold it in place. I can see some holes that appear to line up with where the front plate mount would be. I also noted that one grill was solid behind the ring logo where the other two were open.

Here's the links to the auctions I found. I used "Audi A7 grill" in the search and sorted by "Price + shipping: lowest first". Take a close look at the pictures. Save them for reference.

Trying to get the old filler plater out. I have a new filler plate that makes the grill complete.

It seems like the bottom ends are what are locked in

Some other Audi models have a service position that tilts the bumper cover so you can remove the grill. I don't know if that applies to the A7. The only person that I know of that has experience is the guy that bought the white A6 with extensive front end damage. He rebuilt the whole thing.

There should be some tabs on the back of the new filler that would give you an idea of how it's attached.

There are four T shaped slots along the bottom of the area. How many tabs are on your new filler plate? How about a picture of it.

Since you are the pioneer, take pictures of the progress.
