Doesnt matter what trim package you have the filler replaces the license plate holder and the old filler with the holes in it.

Greetings. I am looking at and 2012 A7 and I want to do the same thing since here in NC the front license plate is not required. How difficult is the process?/ Thanks and any help would be appreciated.

The process isn't too hard. Remove the shield at the top of the radiator and work from the inside.

There are four larger clips at the bottom. Push the clip down and push out. Have something like a pencil or chopstick to keep it from snapping back in. Work from the outside to the center.

When all four clips are released, push the parking sensors in and swing the filler out from the bottom. There are five tabs at the top holding it in place.

Make sure your plate delete panel is for an older A7. The S7 grill is different.
