HIGH MILEAGE Audi A7
#21
I have a 2012 Prestige with around 60k miles. Just a few things so far, EGR valve replaced, battery replaced and control arm bushings as has been previously discussed. Maintenance isn't particularly cheap, but if you take care of the car it should be good to you. If it's been serviced regularly I wouldn't worry a whole lot. Brakes and Tires may come up in an inspection. FYI- Brakes are around 1100/pair for fronts, and 800ish/pair for rears. Definitely recommend an Audi dealership do those, as others could screw up the electrobrake mechanism.
As far as insurance... I'm in Montana, and 28 years old--mine is 1600/year with progressive. Shop around, another company may be substantially less.
Crossing my fingers everything looks good. It's a great car, and a lot of fun.

That's really a good price for an A7 Prestige. I like the heads up display. Keeps me from looking down and helps even when navigating as it will show turns. It also gives me a warning if I'm too close to someone.
I believe the 75k isn't cheap. However, the cheaper price should offset that.
BTW, I was the same way when I saw mine. My wife said I already had my mind made up so why try to change my mind.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I can't help with that. My dealer gave me a lifetime (500k and something like 25 years) on the powertrain as long as I get the maintenance stuff done there. I'm sure they make up the money in the maintenance costs. But then again, for how much trouble they had with the motor mount I think if anything big comes up I'm telling them it's going to an Audi dealership and they pay.

I purchased a used 2015 A7 a few months ago. It had 19000 miles on it. So far I love it. The rotors were bad when I got it (vibration when braking). I found a post on this forum that reports this is common. Higher mileage cars will likely already have had the rotors changed but if not - that's unusual. When you do replace them buy good quality after market rotors not Audi parts because the Audi brand will likely go bad earlier than they should. Dealer wanted $1200 to replace them and would only split the cost with me under warranty. You can get them done for half that at a brake shop with high quality rotors. The only other annoying things I observed is the auto lock button on the door handle with key fob in the pocket doesn't work well nor does the trunk kick. Other than that I get 25 -27 mpg on the freeway (dash instrument gauge says 28 to 29). Good luck.

Audi A7 used buy suggestion
So I'm about to trade in my infiniti q50 2014 to get a 2012 audi a7 but the question is that the car already have 120k mileage on it should I buy it or get away from it because I believe when audi hit 120k mileage it will need to change the timing chain please help!

My 12 A7 is around 219,000 miles and still going. I needed to do the chains around 204,000 miles 2 summers ago. I am currently in the process of replacing the rear shocks and rear springs. Right rear shock was leaking and the spring actually broke. There is a guy on here that is close to 340K miles last he posted about a year ago.
