Just purchased a 2018 Audi A7 Prestige with Competition Pack
Wife went abroad visiting parents, and I got bored during Thanksgiving holiday and went to a local Audi dealer. They have couple of 2018 A7 left-overs, and there is a Nardo Grey with Competition Package. MSRP $79585, ends up walking out the dealer with $62k including Audi Care, about 23% off. Sounds like a deal?
One question I have is that the sticker mentioned the ventilation front seats, however the car itself doesn't have the vent button. Sales guy said since it has that red thread diamond stitch seats, then vent seats is excluded, is it true?
Also, the cabin cover under the climate control, does it suppose to be push once to open, and push again to close automatically, or you have to manually pull it back after the 2nd push? It doesn't come back automatically in this car, and I told sales guy that is a defect, he told me it is not, it is supposed to be pulled back manually. I don't trust him, LOL. What you owners here could tell me? thanks.

Yes
Ventilated seats are part of a Prestige package as standard. But when you spec it with the Comp package, seats are replaced and you eliminate the ability for ventilation. Truthfully you’re not missing anything, heating function works better on the non ventilated seats and the Comp seats look and feel great. Brings a very sporty feel to the interior

Thanks very much, ScarGuy! You are one of the most savvy Audi experts here, do you have any inputs on my cabin cover question as well? Is it a defect there?
Thanks again for your reply!

yes it’s a one touch return, should be simple
my guess is someone pulled it back at a certain point and either the return spring popped off or maybe it’s place holder cracked. Either way easy for the dealer to solve under warranty
does it have resistance on it when you try to close it? As designed , it can be pulled back but gives a lot of feedback that “this isn’t how this works”, as it’s pretty stiff.

Thanks for your detailed information.
Yes, when I tried to close it, it has resistance. You have to push it first, then pull it back in a certain angel to close it.
Glad to hear that it should be an easy fix since it makes me worry to imagine that they have to open the whole front console panel in order to work on that spot, LOL.
i couldn’t picture what you meant but now I see

When you close it does it look like it lines up flush to the console?
console is easy to remove btw
