Larger sidewalls
The first pothole I hit in '99 with my 2000 Jaguar S-Type dented two rims and blew one tire. I had slightly taller tires installed which made the ride a litle smoother and no more dented rims. My 2013 A7 Prestige with 20" Sports Package comes with summer tires. What is the tallest tire (largest size tire) that I can have installed on these same rims? Thanks

To do so would affect the overall diamater of the wheel/tire and affect your speedometer. Not to mention what it might do to your safety/traction systems if the overall diamater gets too far off the original
If you want larger sidewall, you will need smaller rims

You can't change the profile without changing the rims

I love the look of the 20 wheels that came on my A7, but the ride is a little harsh and I've curbed/repaired those suckers more than once. My winter wheels are 19 x 8.5 and the tires on those are 255/40R 19. The ride is more comfortable and the taller sidewall means fewer curb encounters. When I order custom summer wheels, they'll probably be 19s not 20s for those reasons.
