Default Middle Grill Peeling - Pics

The middle of the front grill under the audi rings is peeling. Has this happened to any of you? Is there anything I can do?

Mine is doing this as well. I may consider an RS7 style one if the peeling becomes too much.

We never had cases with the grill itself peeling, but the license plate bracket does that from time to time. I guess its just because NJ you have to have a plate, so we see the bracket most of the time, not the grill.

There was a few cases that warranty covered it.

I ended up taking off my plate delete, removed the chrome, and then painted it. Looks much nicer now.

A new replacement plate delete is almost as much as the RS7-style grille, so may consider that in the future too, although I do like the A7 grill as it is.

I would feather the edges with 200 - 400 grit sandpaper and apply gloss black vinyl strips.
Make the strips a little wider and trim after they are applied.

You might be able to just cover the one strip that's peeling.

It happened to mine, and I had the dealer swap it out (covered) right before the warranty ran out. I've seen several people paint them. So far the new grill hasn't had the same issue. Fingers crossed.

I have the same problem. I bought a RS7 style grill to replace it. Don't have it installed yet though.
