Hello..
I wanted to take a moment and express my excitement of being a first time Audi owner plus its a A7!!!! I'm really looking forward to sharing and learning a lot from everyone. I purchased a 2013 A7 prestige. It has the prestige, cold weather and innovation packages. My first order of business is to change the front grill out and learn my about the audi connect and google.

Congratz on the A7!

Do a bunch of reading about the grill swap. The bumper cover has to come off and you have the ACC radar domes. Don't touch them, it's a grand to get them realigned.

That sounds pretty serious. I've read here where some people remove the bumper and others do not. I don't know anything about radar domes. This is the first time that I've read about it.

They domes are down in the lower grills. They are sometimes confused as fog lights. It's much easier to change the grill with the bumper cover removed and many have done it. Don't let curiosity make you fiddle with those sensors.

What type of grill are you thinking of installing?

I really like the RS7 style grill. Illinois mandates a license plate on the front...I'm NOT a fan.

After getting a ticket on my 2008 A6 I have installed front plates for my IL plates sense. I've grown to live it with and no longer bothers me. It actually provides a bit of a barrier for those that bump me while parallel parking. My front plate gets a little banged up, but my bumper is perfect

I just cut little from the top and bottom part of the front plate and installed it perfectly in the space provided on the grill.
In California front plate is required; if not, citation will be issued.
