This week I bit the bullet and dropped off my A7 to have some paint defects taken care of. As a result, I've been driving the shop's loaner - a Honda Accord. Not a horrible car by any means, as evidenced by the bazillion of them that have been sold over the years; but commuting in one for a few days has definitely increased my appreciation for what an exceptional car the A7 is and how easy it is to be spoiled by the experience of driving one around every day. Sure, I occasionally get frustrated by the random quirks that pop up, but those don't diminish the overall experience of luxury, comfort, capability and technology that I admittedly take for granted more often than not.

As eager as I am to get back behind the wheel of my A7, I'm thankful for this "recalibration" of my daily driving experience. It's a little humbling to realize just how blessed we are to enjoy the luxury of a nice car, and I hope I'll be a bit less quick to lose sight of that.
