Rear Tint %
#3
factory kit on the prestige is darker than the no tint A4 next to it.
What surprised me was the rear window on the hatch look like it had virtually no tint at all -
I would think that would need to be the darkest???
I'm thinking of going 20 on the back window of the hatch For security and 40 on the rears - Leading the fronts - which would be legal in New Jersey.
Any opinions out there?

When I lived in jersey I was able to use 25% transmission from the rear windows and rear. With my second fusion which was registered in PA I went with 40% tint (back in 2005). If you are looking only for temp and UVA/UVB protection and not the effect then definitely go with ceramic tint. As windows are frameless, there won't be any telltale signs of tinting. Even 60% light transmission film still looks clear with little reflection so that you can't tell that it's tinted. You may also find Huper Optik film in NJ that is hard to come by in south Florida. There are 90% tints that some people use on windshields, but alas, gov christie has not abolished car inspections. The only thing I miss about NJ is 1 inspection sticker instead of 2 .
