First impressions: I'll probably come to like the exterior, and the new lights (particularly in back) are cool in a flashy, semi-futuristic kind of way. These kinds of things usually only connect once you've seen them in real life, as photos and videos don't often do them full justice. However, I Just. Don't. Like. the interior. When I get into my current (2012) A7 it feels warm, organic and luxurious. Smooth curves, textured wood and subtle lighting accents make it a supremely comfortable and inviting place to spend time. The new interior doesn't connect with me in the same way. Admittedly, the multiple screens give it a decidedly high tech feel, but everywhere you look there are straight lines, sharp edges and hard angles. It seems cold and sterile, whereas the current design feels warm and luxurious.

I understand that everything evolves and advances over time, and this definitely does feel like a cutting-edge, next-gen design, but I think it loses something in the transition. I'll probably come around and "get it" once I've had time to absorb it more. And yeah, odds are that I'll even end up owning one in a few years. I trust Audi enough to withhold final judgment for a while. But I guess when you love a design as much as most of us love the current A7, it can be hard to see anything substantially different as being an improvement.

Pure personal opinion - YMMV.

Hey Guys, this is my first post. I've been just reading for quite a while, but I had to weigh in here. Totally agree with tcoble33. I was thinking just yesterday that my next car after my A7 would likely be another A7, but these pictures have me thinking twice. It just doesn't have the same sexy lines (inside and out) as the current model.

Looks good, but I doubt those cool lights will make it to the US.

I think it looks better inside and out. The butt looks too droopy on the current generation and the interior a little plain. And keep in mind I've owned two of them.

I sincerely hope there would be option to add some interior wood inserts in the US version!

This car is gorgeous--very anxious to see one in person. The front design seems much more integrated than the D5 A8 to my eyes. This car just moved way up my "gotta have" list for my next Audi
