Steering wheel column making a sound
Hey Y’all, I bought my 2016 A7 Prestige Quattro a month ago. A week ago, I started noticing this noise when I turned the steering wheel left or right. Now it’s louder and very annoying. I’m taking a toad trip tomorrow and wanted to fix it before I was on the road for 9 hours. Any thoughts or fixes. Thanks!

Does your steering wheel makes that sound only on full lock and/or approaching full lock? does it occur when turning ? low / high speed? reversing also ? does your steering wheel vibrates when full lock turning? If yes, then dont bother with differential fluids. I have this 2 years and no one ever found any problem regarding this. I just get used to it.
I have changed the steering rack, wheel bearings and other parts, changed rear differential fluid, brakes and disks, axles, steering components/rubber parts, put new full sport suspension and the sound and vibration is still. I havent only checked the front "Quattro box" (there is no front diferential) that is located after the gearbox (dont know how its called right in english im not from usa)
