Default To tint rear......URGENT

Guys, need quick help, my tint is getting done tomorrow at 9AM.

First of all, no local tinters file or shave windows....SOFL

Question is, the top tinter in town does llumar tint, he has 50% and 35% on hand.

I was thinking of going 50% all around, then played around with the idea of 50% front and 35% rear, has anyone gone this way?

Finally, does tinting the boot glass disrupt electronics or radio reception?

Thanks,

My car is Daytona gray if it matters.

I suggest tinting the same all around. Looks odd to see different tints on different window.
Go 35%, it looks better and keeps more heat out.

35% *ALL* windows would look classy.

My car is daytona grey as well. I have llumar tint and I think I actually got 3 different shades. One for rear , one for back windows, and one for front. 35% 50% 70% But honestly I don't remember anymore.

No disruption with electronics or radio. The marketing for the tint says its ceramic tint so I wont cause any interference. I don't know if its true or different from metallic tint.

You ordered the RS5 already? Is it even going to be faster than your old supercharged S5?

That color that you have is an excellent color!! good luck. I just went through this, my car has the Black with the brown interior. I went with the 35's for several reasons. I didn't want to have a "limo" look (style), wanted > visibility, and in NJ it is not legal to tint the fronts. Therefore by going with the 35's it still looks factory (well almost), I haven't yet gotten stopped as the police can still see into the car etc. I also didn't want to have the backs and rear tinted, and the fronts not. It would (again in my opinion) look too goofy and not balanced.

Result - Not stopped yet (fingers crossed); and the car looks really good with the tints, really good. You will love the change in look from something as simple as tints, but don't go with different colors, you will miss out on a great look and sub-optimize the style of this car.

Good Luck, and I hope this helps you make the decision.

I went 50% all around and couldn't be happier...I'll post up pictures in a minute.

Close up it looks dark, definitely noticeable...from afar its less obvious.
