I have a 2014 Audi A7 prestige 3.0T and I was thinking about getting a tune but I'm im a bit unsure about the effects of getting a car tune. Besides a power increase is their anything other things I should know about that comes with a tune?




Also I have 56000 miles will that effect the tune at all

The main difference is power through the power curve. A stage 1 tune will add more power higher in the RPM range, where a stage 2 will add additional low end power.

Some tunes are reported to slightly increase gas mileage when not driving spiritedly.

Certainly makes it more fun to drive when in dynamic mode.

I know many who go with APR. Good brand with good support. For my A7, I decided to go with EPL. Although a smaller company (with no website to speak of), I have read many accounts of good success with the tune on the C7 platform. I decided to buy the Stage 1 and the dongle so I could flash it myself. Went well, and happy with the results for several hundred $ less than APR.

GIAC is the best and gives the most power, i got mine at 50,000 miles and have 70,000 on it now and have no issues at all, the 3.0 v6 motor is a beast and will last forever as long as you take care of it. i drive mine like Ricky Bobby and it runs like a champ so go for it

Any recommendations for a shop to do the tune within the San Francisco Bay Area?

I went with the APR Stage 2+ (SC & Crank Pulley)...Car is a beast now...Wherever you go make sure their an authorized dealer
