I know few dealers in the NJ-PA area who may offer that type of discount. I just need to test drive the cars after they are on the dealer lot before negotiating.

Anybody else got any updated scoop on build times and order vs delivery dates?
Does Audi send emails updating us during build as to what stage etc?
Anybody have ANY experience ordering from Audi?????????

Yes, you will get a couple of emails but these can be confusing at times.
Your dealer/salesperson can get much more accurate info.; in my experience.

Agree. Dealer best source of build and delivery times. My dealer does a weekly check for me and sends me an update. Initially some delays for the US production of the A7 (not sure about Canada), but in the last week dates are being firmed up for US

I put my order in july 30th and got my first email from owner in waiting program yesterday saying "ordered". I agree with you all.. dealer has more accurate information. My vehicle status screen shot (attached) is somewhat confusing as well. It says there is a hold but there is also production and arrival ETAs there yet they are to be revised and also no production week assigned. Dealer assured me that they probably will stick to that delivery date but who knows..

does anyone know what these holds are etc?

There have been some disturbing news re: EPA certifications of new Audi/VW group powertrains.

https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a8-...tinue-2957151/

I was in Lucerne Switzerland last month and the Audi dealer had only 1 A7. He told me that they were allowed to sell it but can't get or order any others for a year or more as Swiss DOT had pulled the certification for emission.

He seemed reluctant to provide any more details and I have not made any attempts to investigate veracity of this info. The lack of EPA certification so far is concerning.

are you referring to C7 or C8?
this article seems to indicate it's a C7 issue only for switzerland

Both me and the dealer were only referring to the new, C8 version.

I sincerely hope it is not true for US since this powertrain is also shared by A8 and Q8.
