Active Matrix Laser Pending Approval
In case you want to follow the NHTSA's (USA) review for the Active Matrix functionality on our lights (if so equiped) you can do so at the following link:

If approved the dealer should be able to flash upgrade our lights to provide the active matrix functionality

Yes. The laser headlights are fully functional. I believe the operate over 30mph by design. However, active matrix functionality is pending US (perhaps Canada also) approval
its not unusual for manufacturers to have features turned off on initial launch as they wait for approval from various government agencies. It’s easier (and cheaper) for them to do that than have different headlight systems for different parts of the world.
