Yes, it's a lot more involved than a polish or something. But at $15 per foot, it's a lot less than buying new trim (although you have to remove your current trim and send it out).
But it's nice to know these guys exists, for your perfectionists out there.

I'm pretty sure it's anodized. I have wet sanded and polished the 2 front bumper pieces....
(they were shot) and they've held up just fine. At least now I can hit them with metal polish every once in a while because I'm down to the bare metal.

You have to start with a much heavier grit to get thru the coating. I think I used 240, 320, 400
600, 1000 and the buffed on wheel. It took at least an hour per piece. You have to remove the front bumper to get the trim pieces removed.
I'm going to do the same on my car soon when I re-spray the front bumper and it'll be off anyway.
If it looks like you have completely destroyed them at the lower grit sanding stages, you're doing it right!
