Default Thanks a bunch - I'm trying this tomorrow...D2 Forum roolz!

I've had a clunk that didn't go away even after I replaced my control arms and I can feel a little play in the steering.

Default Wow

I was doing some research on my 1999 steering wheel clunk and came across this article. The clunk I have only manifests it's self when I'm pulling out of a parking space. Getting to the boltt is quite a pain in the ***, I guess you need to remove the front left whee (of course!!) and then have some type of low profile socket. I tried with a socket what was too high and battled for over an hour to turn the bolt but eventually managed to turn it a little but I gave up and will now buy a low profile 18mm socket and report back. The noise did seem to go away a bit. I'm sure having big, heavy, after market wheels puts extra stress on the rack too. My car even feels nippier with my snows on and smaller / lighter wheels!!! (I also noted that it probably was going to be a horrid job to replace this steering rack as it's hidden in there quite nicely even though remanufactured units are only $400)
