It's more expensive to go with raxles
It's about $175 vs. $30 for a boot and grease.....but if it's torn for a long time or if it clicks, it needs to be replaced.
I bought this car a year ago....I don't want to ever look at that axle again, plan on owning it another 4 years.
It was 10 minutes to change it.....and it has new CV joints on it....and both the inner and outer joint are freshly packed with grease....I've had cases of the inner boot not being ripped but it was water contamianted.
I'm conservative.....I even put stock brake pads on today.....a lot of dust, but no squeal.
