15 mm Wheel Spacers

15 mm Wheel Spacers
Any opinions from anyone whether the addition of 15 mm wheel spacers for purely aethestic reasons would justify a $225.00 investment. Would the use of spacers put any additional wear on wheel bearings or cause any other negative consequences? Thought that these may give a little more aggressive look to the car.

Re: 18" wheel with a 35 mm offset
I would not recommend using a 15mm spacer. In theory you would put more stress on your bearings, but I would be more concerned about tires hitting your rear fender. I have 19x8.5 with p25540ZR19 and there is not enough room to add another 10mm outward. The front wheels are already at the limit and would really stick out. I think it would look worst in the front. Don't need spacers if you have ET35 wheels - they will look great as is
I have 15mm spacers on my fronts due to my brake mod and my stock wheels. My A6 4.2 wheels will clear my brakes (ET 35 deep dish) but my stock 17" A8 forged wheels won't.
If you are getting ET 35 wheels, you don't need any spacers....it will look great without them. My summer wheels/tires look awesome. You could have fitment problems if you do add the spacers....it would create a ET20 wheel.
Here's a picture of one of my H&R spacers.... if you do get them, make sure that you get the longer bolts, you'll need them, and you need to specify if you have Audi wheels or aftermarket wheels, each require a different type lug nut. The Audi wheels have a cupped face on the lug nuts, the aftermarket wheel bolts have a straight taper.
The cost for spacers, as you stated, is about $220-$240 for 4 of them (get H&R, they are specific to the A8) and for 20 new lug nuts will be about $3 a piece, an extra $60.
BTW, you'll love the look of the wheel sticking about an extra 1/2" or so....looks mean.
