Default 1999 A8 Tiptronic would not start
Help! I have a 1999 A8. The car would not start and the next day it started. I changed change the Fuel pump relay at the suggestino of an Audi Tech.
The car started fine. The next day again it would not start. Removed the relay, plugged it back in and the car started. Today it would not start again. I Removed the relay, plugged it back in and the car started.

What could it be?

Your help would be greatly appreciated

Default Maybe this
Did engine run at all when you try to start it ? If so, i think the problem is your car key. I did have same problem but new key help. Second, did you "reset" your car, battery wire ( - ) away about 30 seconds.

Default How did he come up with the fuel pump relay?
Were there error codes?

If it was, it wouldn't start with the old one.

So does it turn over? Is the battery in good shape? Did you pull the fault codes?

It turns over eventually, The battery is in great shape.
The fault codes reffer to the fuel pump relay.
