Where might the fuel filter be located on a 1999 A8Q? Are there any useful tricks to changing it (besides of course finding it)?

It is located under the reare right side right before the rear tire.

It is hidden by a plastic cover. To change it you will need two ranches of identical size (don't remember what size)

It takes about 15 minutes to change.

WHen changing, make sure you eather replace compression washers, or do not lose old once.
Before closing the cover start the car up and verify that there are no leaks.

Before changing the filter, disconnect the battery just in case.

Be very carefull not to damage the tubes.
