Default Led conversion — warning light problem

Just installed led lamps in the rear running lights and brake lights. Unfortunately the dashboard warning light now comes on. Any idea how to remedy this?
thanks a ton! Steve

Usually you buy CANBUS compatible LEDs. What car do you have?

I would first try (if you cannot return newly installed bulbs) load resistors...they will enable the computer to recognize the bulbs..though you will not retain the power savings, you will have functioning bulbs and "no codes." I would suggest the 50w versions available...

The load resistors consume current and convert it into heat. Be mindful where you place them.
