My 2001 A8 has 92,000 miles. It currently needs a thermostat. I am thinking about doing the timing belt at the same time since It does have 92k miles and is 12 years old. I was looking for any recommendations for repair shops in the boston/Massachusetts area.

They really did a great job of nailing down all of the S8's issues. Considering that I was taking the S8 back to MD for the actual work and they would not be getting any of the actual repair business I was extremely pleased with their thorough evaluation. A previous inspection done by an Audi dealer had failed to identify any issues. You can imagine the post purchase remorse I would have experienced if I had not gotten this second inspection and not known I was looking at $2-3K in repairs.

Based on their guidance, I went ahead and purchased the S8 knowing full well what I needed to spend to get it sorted out. 3.5 year later I am still very happy with my decision. In fact last summer I just gave them a call to thank them again for their help in my purchasing decision. I figured shops that do a great job deserve a unexpected "thank you".

I dealt with Mike F at the shop and he was very professional in working all of the issues with me via email and phone.

Sorry for the longer reply then you were probably expecting but I have been waiting for awhile for someone to ask "who would you recommend in Boston..."
