Default Re: Not enough!

It is hard to believe how soft these cars really are on the market. I sold my low mileage 1997 E36 M3 for more than the dealer wants to give me for the S8.

I negotiated the cash buy on the RS6 prior to talking trade, so it is apples to apples at this point.

Default And looky, looky, here is one pristine block for sale.

I bought one thinking I was going to add the S8 strut brace to my A8. Went with solid fuel rocket assist instead, and the block is useless unless one has the strut brace. I have never used it, have kept it in a velvet-lined safe, and am willing to include the very nice cellophane it came with in a package deal.

I can't for the life of me remember what I paid for it. Send me an email and make me an offer if you just can't bear Randy having a firmer brake pedal and less travel than you.

I bet he doesn't have the original cellophane, either, so that's a huge bonus.

Default Re: Sorry, car is in Virginia

Here is some addtional details.

Car is brilliant black, suede door panels, full leather sport seats, three spoke wheels.

Car has German front plate. IN-S 0008.

I will post a photo on Wednesday.

Carbon trim was sourced dirctely from Germany and installed by the dealer in my car. I still have the original US spec wood trim. Will be sold with the car.

Hope this helps.

Default Re: REALLLLLY ???

Without The Block, the master cylinder moves about 1/2" forward under a moderately heavy pedal effort. With an ~4.5:1 pedal ratio, that translates into > 2" of pedal travel under your foot. Additional discussion in the Link.

And who's Justy?

Default Does a facelift A8L have the strut brace?

I know the A8 doesn't use the strut brace, but I thought I had seen it on an A8L.

Default Re:If I trade the car, I will remove the brake block and Carbon

Guys,

If I end up trading the car, I will remove the brake block and the complete carbon fiber trim kit and offer them up on the board.

warm regards,

Stephen
