Im looking to buy a 2001 A6 2.7T Quattro and the guy said that the car will not go into reverse but the other gears work. So after reading this it sounds that the transmission is going to need to be rebuild because of the clutch F seal. My question is how much did this job cost to be done? And how long did this take

I am in South Bend, IN about 2 hours so that part is set. hehe

Not sure if its the same trans in an A6 2.7. I've got the 4.2 A8 with "lots-o-miles" and reverse is just sluggish. Just my .02
