2003 S8: Blinking Coolant/Temperature Light!

Checked the spillover reservoir and its definetely low. Going to top off, but is this typically a sign of bigger problems in cooling system?

1st things first......
Look for leaks........ pink fluid.

Also try "coolant leak" in "search this forum" for lots of suggestions.
