Default 2009 A8 oil in coolant!

looking for a answer one which way to go. I backed out of the garage today and noticed a puddle about 10 in by 10” of oil on the ground. Stoped looked under the hood and found oil sitting on top of antifreeze tank. My oil light has come on twice for being at min. I added oil and now oil is in antifreeze.

With research a lot are saying it’s the oil cooler which looks like a great time to replace.

So so my question is, is it possible that the oil cooler meaning behind the alternator attached to the block could let oil into the antifreeze. If so how does that cooler work so I understand more.

Thanks for any input.

You've posted in the forum for the earlier A8/S8 and we usually only see a coolant drip from the oil cooler connection (near the alternator). I am not sure how different your engine is. The relevant forum members might have some observations, maybe ask for your post to be moved or repost?
