Default 2nd Place, that's a notable mention, correct?

Okay, went to the autocross yesterday with Tony (TP40), I ended up taking 2nd in D Class (I think there were six or seven cars) with a 101.3. I believe the winning time was about 59.7 from my friend Dean in a B5 A4 1.8.

It was Tony's first autocross ever, his frist run it looked like he was driving around the Mall parking lot looking for a parking space, and by his second set of runs he was all over it!

He was looking very good! No one was in his car with him.

My son got to drive with me the whole time, I missed the course the first 3 of 4 runs (one set of turns), then I drove over the starting timing light on my 2nd set of runs....but I picked off a 1:01.3 and then some 102's from there out.

I also got to drive DaveyKid's RS6 for one run, it was gobbs of torque, but I overdrove the car and did something like a 1:05. I was much more comfortable driving my car.

Default Looks like ...

You're definitely working out those tires! How are they holding up? Will you be at Mid-Ohio in two weeks?

Also, DaveyKid has a post with his RS6 next door. He was happy with the performance of his brakes, but he may be surprised at what happens to them when he gets his car on a road course.

RS6 x-post

Default Tires are great

Only the outer edges of the fronts are worn from Grattan, other than that they are like new.

I put in for the wait list for Mid Ohio, but haven't heard back yet. So I probably won't be there.

It was a great Sunday, met a lot of nice people and learned a lot about driving. Too bad I didn't get any pictures of Pauls ribs, they were fantastic. Thanks Paul.

Boat or RV, was the more common comment I heard. I'll show them!

Speaking of racing...it was a shame about Randy Pobst in his race today at Mid Ohio.

Default that was a little depressing but that pile up was insane

I liked seeing the Stasis A4's out there but where were the RS6's in the second race.
