Default It appears about three years.

When I bought my '98 (in 2004), it was on its second battery (replacement was an OEM as well). I had to replace the battery within a year (i.e., spring 2005; went with the Bosch from Pep Boyz), and had to replace it again two months ago (went with the Duralast from Autozone). That appears to equate to just over three years per battery.

Default energizer here, 4 yrs on it now

OEM was in the car 1999-2005 or so. My Energizer is oozing some mushroom like foam now, going to warranty it this month.

Autozone Duralast Ultra (yellow) has same maker as the Optima Yellow/Redtops

All are pricey due to the shipping costs during the high gas price months. They should all come down soon with new stock

I've had an Interstate for about 3 years now, no problems.

OEM Battery here. 7 years old, 200k miles, still in good condition, even in the winter cold.

I believe Duralast is made by Johnson Controls. I think they're are only 3 battery manufacturers.

Mine might go 7 years now since I wired all lights into ignition ;-)
