Default A8 rubber floormats

I'm looking to buy rubber floormats - I live i Boston and my car is cashmere/ecru - so my carpet is constantly getting dirty especially in the snow-

I just called clair for floormats- they said the price is $65 for fronts $54 for rears- is this exhorbitant? or normal?

The mats are beige and have the A8 symbol on the fronts so they are definitely a little cooler than generics

anyone have these-
thanks for the feedback

Default I have the black Euro ones...

.....and they are awesome! They don't have any markings on them, you take out the old carpet and put these in place for the winter. They are really nice and your carpets are saved for summer! The price is what you will pay for them.

BTW, Chicago just got its first real snow fall, my car has the 16" wheels on it with Blizzaks on it....it goes like hell in the snow! Fun!

Default Have the Ecru (tan) Interior

The black ones look great....I think I might get a set of black regular A8 mats for the summer....they'll look great!

yeah- i'd imagine the contrast would look nice-
last question- i went to pick up my mats today and they had ordered the rug mats not the rubber ones- in any case - they're are 2 types the euro mats and just the regualr ones- euro cost slightly more- but the parts guy said that they might not fit my car- since they were only specified for 2000's and up- any thuth?

Default This subject was discussed at length a few months back......

Myself and 'Kevin' were the main contributors I think. A search would pick it up.

Default The new euro mats fits the 2000+ A8 perfectly, not sure about pre-2000

It replaces the existing carpeted all season floor mats and snaps right down perfectly. The rear rubber mats are attached with velcro using the existing velcro sawn onto the carpet so they don't slide (the A8 mats do fit the A8L, but just a bit shorter)... they definitely worth every penny considering some generic mats smells very bad and doesn't necessarily fit like OEM.

Our car has the sable black interior, so the black mats are perfect.

I went the mats4less route. Note that thrilled! Definitely do the job, but would look more at home in a GMC 4x4, and the fit is not OEM spec. I just looked at the Claire web site. Are you guys referring to part # W3GR? These look pretty industrial as well, and I don't see the attach points. I'm in California. We have no need to hold ½ gallon of water with the mats. I just don't want muddy foot prints all over my carpet.

Default I bought the mats4less first....

....then I got the euro ones from xmas....I gave my old mats to my business partner that has an A8....the OEM ones fit incredible and have a lip around them that goes up to the sides, which won't let water spill out....and no, I don't think I need 1/2 gallon capacity at all even in Chicago.

The Euro ones are really cool because they are basically flat, they don't have high ribs so are easier to drive with (your feet won't get caught up on anything). But they don't have the A8 emblem on them, no big deal.
