MXV4 Plus 225/55R17/95V. Have slice/cut in one sidewall and need to replace all four since tread remaining is 6/32, too great a difference with new tread of 11/32 for Quattro.
Considering them and also Continental CV 95, and Turanza LSV, recommended by local tire guy. Thoughts, comments, experience? Thanks in advance.

I have owned the CV95s, and was fairly pleased with them. They are "fine" in snow. Not Great; "fine.
I changed over to REAL snow tires as soon as I could, tho. If you have a garage or basement to store off-season tires in, there's really no great excuse to not own the real thing unless you live in a place where it only snows 1 time a year.
Actual snow tires have almost twice the snow grip as All Season, and a zillion times more ice grip.

Pilot AS from Costco. I just bought my second set in your size. Abt $850 mounted. Got over 40K out of the first. Very good in the wet, OK in the snow. Buy quality, cry once. The cost is not the cost you pay, it is the incremental cost over the cheapest rubber you would care to have on your rims. You have to buy something.
A totally different animal from the Michs you are running. Also, if you damage one (HP tires are prone to damage) the Michs are pretty easy to replace.

with the deal tire rack has on BStone S-03's, I would consider buying those and chancing a light
winter.
Just kidding, Kuhmo ASX's were what I ran last year. definitely the best bang for your buck. for a little more cooper lifeliner touring SLE are what I have on my stockers.
