Any suggestions while Ive got it apart.....
This is the second go round on the ATF and filter change on my '97. Im going to replace the torx bolts with stainless steel allen bolts for one. Didnt Tozo or someone say something about one of the solenoids being adjustable or something? Any ideas on what that curved piece of metal is on the magnet in the 3rd pic? It was in there when I dropped the pan. Hope its nothing major.

Do you have to move / remove the exhaust to drop the pan?
My 99 has 149k on it and still has the original fluid. Tranny works perfectly still. I contribute some of that to a warm southern climate, no salt, etc, and the rest of it to sheer dumb luck.
