In the Bentley manual, I have 8 wiring diagram pages of "Radio - Bose Symphony with and without CD Changer", but it only shows, on one of the pages, the CD changer connections to the rest of the car (the radio). I'm seeing 10 wires. There's nothing about the innards of the changer.

Thanks. I'll admit it, I'm terrible at reading wiring diagrams. My CD changer with the 13 pin connector plug has only 9 wires that are used. These are the color wires that I have for my connector; orange, black, red, brown, white, blue, grey, yellow and green.
Looking at that Bentley diagram, the far right wire (data) has a color wire "rosa" and I don't see a listing for that?

This is what I came up with.
Orange is data in
Black is clock
Red is right (audio) channel
Brown is ground
White is left (audio) channel
Blue is power (12V) battery
Yellow is accessory
What is the grey and green wires for? Does accessory (yellow) mean switched power? Also I need to know if "data in" means coming from the headunit (radio) to the CD changer?

Rosa (pin 13) is pink, so that's a data channel. I can't speak to the details of any of those digital communications, though the markings on the diagram, at the radio end, suggest the data out to the changer is pin 13.
ACC must be switched power. "gesch." in "gesch, Plus" must stand for "geschaltet" (switched).

I'm not seeing grey and green on the wiring diagram. I looked at the 2001 A8 (both engine variants AUX and AYS) and S8 (AUX), and the diagrams look identical. (What do you have?) There's all kinds of other equipment on the other 7 pages, including 4 TV antenna amplifiers (huh?), but the changer itself only seems to appear on page 3 of 8.
What terminal numbers are the grey and green attached to? Does that conflict with the wiring diagram?
