Default In an attempt to get rid of those morning squeaks as the chassis settles in...

I sponged on silicone spray lubricant on all the door seals and think I found the main culprit. The seal on the driver's door that goes to the b-pillar duct/vent squeaks like hell. The passenger side is tight and quiet. How do I get the offending piece out so I can devise a way to tighten it up? I pulled/pried gently but to no avail.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Default

if you mean just the rubber seal, keep pulling, it's just a friction fit all around.

Default Actually trying to get the hard plastic out as that is what is moving about.

It appears not to be part of the duct but rather a separate piece.

Default ok, I think you mean the piece between the 2 doors that has the phone spkr?

If so, pry up the door sill on each side and you'll see a screw which needs to be removed.

You should be able to remove the screws w/o taking the sill pieces completelty out. After that it's just clips. Pull up and out.
