How about dealer haters? Are they allowed here?

Default Only upon purchase of a new car they don't make you sign

an agreement preventing you from painting your car Silver.

That would certainly explain his long apparent absence.

Default Your first post on this was in November . <edited>

Look, it's not unusual for people to try to fix a paint mismatch by using off-the-shelf waxes, cleaners or paint restorers. Such attempts usually make things worse!

So, it's been 2 years and nine months since you took delivery and the Audi rep didn't see it until last September or October. They really waited a long time.

Sell the car if it bothers you if you won't let them paint it, and you won't accept the cash they offered you, what else is there to do? You said you want 5 payments - some $7,500? What's your plan? Did your rep quit? You need a partner to talk to and make a decision.

RICH's first post on this issue & Forum responses then.

Are records kept for 3 years for cars damaged in port or transit?

Default There's a TSB out there specifically about the color match on silver paint.

Audi even created and sent samples to the dealers at one point. I could swear my car has a repainted hood in certain light but it doesn't.

Default RICHELIEU took the trim and rubber off his car and saw no signs of paint or body work...

What does the TSB say? How can they paint part of the car one color and part another during the the first paint application?

Default Something smells fishy here....

They offer all those payments and to repaint the car, but richelieu says it's his right to take as long as he wants to determine what he wants to do?

I don't know about other states, but dealers are allowed to repair new cars and not disclose to a buyer as long as the repair is under $500. That is a little sketchy, could a whole new front end be installed as long as they say it cost less than $500? My S4's bumper was repainted improperly, had to repaint it two years later.

Default I would work with the dealer Sales Manager, General Manager, then the

Owner until one of them resolved this to your satisfaction. They will pressure Audi to fix the problem, since they don't want their local business in jeopardy.
