B5.5 Passat, with recharge canister with gauge.
Hello, Can anyone help with optimal pressure reading on gauge, DIY recharge from Autozone. My vehicle has had front end replaced, AC System emptied. Thankyou in advance for any help. JR..

Fun fact: The B5 Passat uses the same AC compressor as the D2. They have a clever bypass valve in them that is supposed to be sized to the system, but a Passat compressor works fine in my S8. There are some updates to later compressors that make them desirable.
You have to get a good charge in the system before the bypass closes so the compressor can function.
AC gauge readings are pretty standard but depend on your local temperature.
