Default Bad service help needed

Again I have taken my 98 Audi A6 into Rector Motors in Burlingame for service and have had a one day job turn into three days(at least).I had an appointment for the 37,000 mile service and brake relining to include rotors. For the third time this year, I am told that Audi sent them the wrong parts and that is the reason for the delay. You would think they might stock lining and rotors wouldn't you?

I called audi of america to try and get the Regional service mangers phone number but they refused and said I have to go through the dealership. Anyone know how I can get ahold of this guy? If Audi parts distribution is this screwed up you'd think he would want to know.

The major problem, which the dealer admits, is too many cars, too many people and not enough mechanics. Too bad Audi doesn't authorize an independent shop to help with the overload in the San Francisco Bay Area.

One other thing. I am given a rental car but they always tell me audi doesn't authorize this and that they are doing me a favor. Is this true?

Default My understanding is that Audi Advantage covers a rental ...

if your car is out of service for more than a day; anything less is up to the individual dealer.

Default Audi rental

It is true! Audi only provides free rentals to A8 customers. Other Audi's only qualify if there is a national back order on a critical part.

And yes Audi is aware of the parts problem. And so is the Regional Service Manager (OTS)
