Default Battery go dead VERY fast in remote

Anyone had experience with this? Since I bought a car (4 months ago) I am on the 4th set of batteries, that is just way too much. It seems like only one of them going bad every time. Last set I bought at the "Source" and they offered me a lifetime, no questions asked warranty for additional $1.30, I could just keep exchange them @ no cost forever but there is got to be a way to fix that. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Default Re: will this work with my 97 A8?

ivans,

I have an extra brand new in box remote fob portion of the switchblade key (part No. 4D0 837 231 P O1 C). This has the battery included. This is a leftover from a group buy.

Using the remote coding procedure below, this works great with my 97 A8.

$26 via paypal (no credit cards) and it is yours. Reply by email to drew_3812 at yahoo dot com

cheers,

Default Yes, but this is a remote only. The one you have will work also.
