Default Blower fan motor replacement

Hi guys. I have a 2002 Audi S8 with the solar sunroof. 210,000 miles, it seems the heater fan motor is finally pretty much quit. How do I replace the motor?

thanks very much for the info...I tried to search for it, but I only found A4 or other vehicles, I'm still trying to learn how this forum works. I tried to search under the D2/A8 but... I dunno couldn't find anything that looked correct. Thanks again this is perfect and looks fairly easy. Cheers!

The motor is probably fine, it's the brushes that wear out. I've replaced the brushes in the fan motor in one of my other Audi's about 12 years ago. Still going strong. Unfortunately it required removing the entire dash to do it.. But it's an older 87 5000 so it wasn't too bad a job. At least these are fairly easy to get to and replace. Bookmarking that link for future reference.

Actually, I didn't get brushes that were made for the motor. I never bothered even trying to see if Audi/VW even sold them. The ones I picked up were brushes that were physically the same size (actually two sandwiched side by side in the holder) as the originals. I took them down to the local NAPA store and the guy went through a few sets till we found some that would work. They might have cost me $10 if that much. I think they were for a Ford alternator or something.. All you have to do is desolder the old ones loose where the leads connect and solder then new leads in. It's pretty simple really.
