Can I fit 2001 S8 brake on a 1997 A8? Thanks

It'd be a very expensive project.
I doubt that anyone has ever done it. Besides the obvious brake parts, you'd also need to replace the front uprights.
The S8's Brembo caliper use a radial mount, where the mounting bolts are parallel to the wheel's spokes. The A8's caliper uses an axial mount, with mounting bolts parallel to the axle. I'd guess that the conversion of the front only would cost at least $4000, and then there's the rear.
The BIRA Conversion to the radial-mount Porsche caliper solves the problem with an adapter; but with Brembo's on an S8, custom rotors with a non-standard offset would then be required.

I recently fitted 2000 s8 brembos to my 1998 s8.
I jad to change the up write becuase of the mounting apart from that it was straight forward bolt of bolt on.
Only think is i cant find the front lower rear arms to fit the new hubs.
