Cannot Open Hood

Cannot Open Hood
Pulled on hood release and only right side unlatched. Tonque, secondary latch, popped out. Tried pushing down while somebody else pulled. No luck. Gently removed grill, got to where I could almost see the latch. Took off belly pan and see cable up there, looks intact, but what do I do? 1999 A8 by the way. Never had a problem in past years with hood. Wife had service station check the oil.

You need to reach up with a hook and pull on the cable while someone try to pop the hood.

Slight mis-alignment could cause one side not to release, you might be able to pull up on the side
of the hood that doesn't release and get it to release... Just had that issue with my car after timing belt procedure.
Took the car back and indy re-alighned front end.
