Car (98-A8-4.2Q-152K) will not start - please help.
Eng is cranking but will not start. No DTCs in WAGCOM. I did search the forum.
The is no fuel in the lines - I disconnected them on the eng site.
So it could be:
1. fuel pump
2. relay
3. wirering
In the past(~ 1 year ago) I did change fuel filter.
I have a feeling that fuel pump is dead.
Do I have to get this pump at the dealer? Does anybody have good source for this pump?
I think PN# 4D0 298 087B.
Thanks very much for help and any sugestions.

Did you try cracking the fuel lines at the engine?
If your fuel pump is dead, you won't have fuel pissing and dripping everywhere.
If the fuel pump is good, you would have pressure there.
Pretty easy test, see URL below for cracking the fuel lines.<ul><li><a href="http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articles/enginemechanical/fuelleakrepari.html">http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articles/enginemechanical/fuelleakrepari.html</a</li></ul>

Then it's the fuel pump or the relay
You can check the relay by jumping it. You need the Bently, but the relay is at the passenger's feet.
You could just jump the two circuits, if it's still dry, you need a pump, or at least you can go to the electrical troubleshooting procedure for the pump.

Next is the electrical connections at the pump
As Gabor says, he took the wiring off the pump and then reconnected and it worked again.
You also need to take a resistance across the pump motor with a multimeter......the Bently will give you the procdure and specification.
I don't think this is you problem, but this is the next step in troubleshooting.
The connection is shown in the URL below.<ul><li><a href="http://members.rennlist.com/drive944/fuel_leak_repair.html">http://members.rennlist.com/drive944/fuel_leak_repair.html</a</li></ul>
